Dr. Kayla N. Green Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Affairs Professor of Chemistry Louise Dilworth Davis College of Science & Engineering Dr. Green earned a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Texas A&M University in 2007 and completed postdoc toral training in advanced imaging at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She joined the faculty at TCU in 2010, was promoted to associate professor in 2016, and to full professor in 2022. In 2025, she was appointed assistant dean in the Louise Dilworth Davis College of Science & Engineering. Dr. Green is actively engaged in student mentoring, STEM outreach and advancing inclusive pathways in science, and her research and service have received broad institutional and national recognition. The Green Research Group at TCU , led by Dr. Kayla N. Green, is an interdisciplinary laboratory focusing on inorganic chemis try, biology and physics to address biomedical challenges. The group’s primary research involves developing small molecules using organic and inorganic synthetic methods to combat oxidative stress and metal-ion misregulation in neurodegener ative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and cataracts. Additionally, the group researches novel metal-based cata lysts for chemical transformations and explores advanced MRI contrast agents and electrochemical biosensors for cancer biomarkers.
